High interest, low readability stories offer a different non-fiction tale for every day of the month through the entire school year. Stories were chosen because of a particular interest or event that happened on each day’s date. After reading the daily article, students complete an activity page, which emphasizes comprehension of the story. Students learn interesting historical facts and biographical information as well as improve individual reading comprehension. Nine books are organized by months of the school year, September through May. Reading level grades 3–4.
