Community-Based Instruction
Grade 1-2 Reading Level
Newly update, this program takes students
out of the classroom and into the community doing everyday chores from
banking, to doing laundry, to shopping on planned supervised outings.
Lesson plans are set for 19 standard outings, plus additional
personalized activities. A unique collection of 23 Stepping Out
Cues helps students perform activities without requiring prerequisite
academic skills. The cues can be long term adaptations or faded as
skills develop.
Assessments and parent involvement forms
help advance community based instruction goals in the IEP. Print
out extra cues and supplemental material from the CD.
