Over the past few years, Augmentative Communication Consultants, Inc. has expanded its product line to include pre-vocational materials, resources for autism, funding, educational software solutions, dynamic displays, speech generating devices, and our website.  Augmentative Communication Consultants, Inc. represents over a dozen manufacturers of augmentative communication and other assistive technologies, offering demonstrations, products, workshops and consultation.  ACCI is an independent women-owned business and does not work for any one single manufacturer.  As such, you can be assured at receiving impartial advice for assistive technology solutions that is best for your client's needs, not because it is the only product we sell.

Millie Telega, SLP, CCC has over 30 years experience specializing in augmentative communication with a wide range of ages and disabilities in schools, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and residential settings.

Adding to Millie's expertise is the fact that she is an advocate for her step-son, Matthew (pictured on our home page), who is a medically, physically, and visually challenged young adult. Through the "miracle" of technology, Matt enjoys a lifestyle that less than a few decades ago would have been impossible. Matt uses an ultimate switch mounted to his wheelchair to access his communication device using Speaking Dynamically Pro with audible previews with Boardmaker, via a switch interface along with a wide selection of single switch software.  Matt uses his ultimate switch, with environmental controls, to play games, do chores around the house, assist in cooking and to help in his Mom's office by shredding paper for packaging materials along with attending an adult training program where he uses his assistive technology equipment.
