Objective: Engage student interest
through high interest, low readability stories
Daily Reading Comprehension Books & Software
stories are presented for every day of the school year. Each of the
stories details the history of that date and includes events well known to the student, such
as the birthday of Martin Luther King.
The non-fiction stories are followed by
activities that assess reading comprehension in students.
Subjects covered include: political,
sports and entertainment personalities, famous dates in history, and human
interest themes. Activities feature: crossword puzzles,
multiple choice and matching exercises
