 The Analog Switch Pad is a
touch-activated, force adjustable, low voltage DC, electronic switch designed to control
battery operated toys, environmental controls, and computer acces interfaces. This
device features a large activation area that is soft and compliant to the touch.
Force sensitivity is adjusted by a small dial from approximately 1 ounce to 32 ounces
activation pressure, applied over an area ranging from the size of a fingertip to the size
of the entire switch surface. A small LED lamp glows when the switch is turned ON by
user pressure. A battery-operated toy can be plugged directly into the standard
3.5mm (1/8") output phone jack. A cable is provided to connect the Analog
Switch Pad to switch activated controls and computer interfaces. Internal
battery power is consumed only when the switch is activated. The Switch Pad is
5" in diameter and 1 1/4" high. It weighs approximately 11 ounces and uses
three replaceable "AA" batteries (included) to provide many hours of continuous
operation and many weeks of normal usage.
