situations. Includes objectives, teaching suggestions and follow-up
activities. Requires students to read stories, solve problems or
analyze events the characters encounter.
Math covers: Add/subtract, multiply/divide,
measurement, decimals and percents.
Literacy covers: Oral communication, reading
comprehension and sentence and paragraph structure.
Health covers: Risky behaviors, personal hygiene,
mental health and first aid. By former special educator Ellen McPeek
