SpeakOut is a portable communication device with a user-friendly QWERTY keyboard. The primary LCD display is used to compose messages, show word prediction options and navigate menus. The composed messages also appear on the rear screen, ideal for face-to-face communication.

SpeakOut uses Acapela synthesized speech. It includes both an adult male and adult female voice. A 10,000 word ‘learning’ word predictor can be used to assist with typing speed and spelling accuracy. Frequently used words or phrases can be stored under a key combination. You can also create documents that can be transferred to a computer or printed directly on an HP printer.

SpeakOut has a number of built-in tools that can be helpful throughout the day. Reminders can be set for important events or appointments, phone numbers can be stored in the included phone book and SpeakOut also includes a built-in calculator.
 

Scanning SpeakOut

Scanning SpeakOut is a good option for those who cannot access a keyboard, but are able to activate a switch for scanning. The Scanning SpeakOut's keys cannot be pressed manually; it can only be operated via scanning or with the included USB keyboard. The USB keyboard is also required for certain setup features. A USB keyboard and USB hub are included. Includes canvas carrying case and shoulder strap.
