scanning featuring auditory prompts supports individuals with visual
impairments. The ChatBox 40-XT also connects to a computer to
provide keyboard emulation.

(text-to-speech) messages to be spoken by pressing buttons on the

30 minutes of high-quality, recorded speech can be used as needed
across as many levels and buttons as desired. Lights (LEDs) on each
key with a stored message provide the user with a visual cue.
Digitized messages can be programmed to include text that appears in
the 2-line LCD Display. Using this feature, an individual can
assemble a message using multiple keys (e.g., I want ... to eat).
The message can then be spoken as a single message by selecting the
Speak Message button.
